Western Career Training does not offer online registration. The best way to register is to contact an Admissions Counselor at one of our two locations in Mesa or Peoria.
While WCT does not offer financial assistance, ask our Admissions Counselors about how to qualify for grants from external resources, such as Workforce Assistance.

All programs are taught as classroom-based to provide a more individualized contact between instructor and student, and an enhanced learning experience. The Caregiver program contains some online modules.

The student must contact our office at (480) 404-4784 to schedule a time outside of class to have another ID made. IDs will be ready for pick up the following business day.
Depending on the program you choose to attend as well as the requirements that you need to meet(immunizations, etc), tuition costs will vary. The only program available for enrollment without a diploma or GED is our Nursing Assistant program.

The student will receive a certificate of completion from WCT and after successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam(PTCE), will receive national certification for pharmacy technician. Please visit www.ptcb.org for more information on the PTCB exam.
The student will receive a certificate of completion from WCT. After successfully passing the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) exam, you will receive national certification for phlebotomy technician. Please visit www.ncctinc.com for more information on the NCPT exam.
The student will receive a certificate of successful completion from the AZ State Board of Nursing and after successfully passing the skills and written exam, can apply with the AZ State Board of Nursing to receive their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
After completing the program with WCT, the student must register to take the state exam. Once successfully passing the exam, the student will receive a certificate in Caregiving.
- The PTCB exam fee for pharmacy technician students is $129.00
- The CNA state board exam fee is $113.00
- The Caregiver state board exam fee is $65.00
- The NCCT exam fee for phlebotomy technician student is $90.00 if registering within six months of completing the program. If registering to take the exam after six months, the student must pay $135.00.
While these positions are very similar in nature and can often be confused with each other, CNA’s are required to work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Caregiver position will be focused on a career working in Assisted Living Facilities under the supervision of an Assisted Living Facility Manager.
WCT does not guarantee job placement after completion of a program. However, resources such as employers that have contacted us with job openings may be available.
The student will need to pay a deposit to reserve a spot in the class. The deposit for each program will vary by program. Contact our office for more information.
Though you may be knowledgeable in the medical field, you are required by the Arizona State Board of Nursing to obtain a CNA license in order to practice in the State of Arizona.
We do not offer any bilingual programs.
To allow for quicker processing and enrollment, WCT highly recommends submitting all required documents as soon as possible. The final deadline to submit all documents is by the last day of your third week of class.
